This policy defines the process for official Sigma certification of implementations that claim reviewed conformance to public SRS/SRIP requirements.
Certification applies only to the reviewed implementation, version, deployment scope, supported SRIPs, evidence artifacts, and certification level listed in the official Sigma conformance registry.
Certification does not transfer to unrelated products, services, forks, customers, deployments, versions, or operators unless explicitly listed.
Certification may cover:
Self-declared levels such as SRS-Referenced, SRS-Aligned, SRS-Partial, SRS-Minimum, and SRS-Full are not official certification unless reviewed, approved, and listed by Sigma Stratum.
The review process may include:
Certification evidence should include a version-pinned requirement matrix, supported SRIPs, unsupported SRIPs, known deviations, test artifacts, implementation scope, operator identity, and any additional evidence required for the requested level.
Enterprise certification may require additional operational, governance, deployment, support, security, or compliance evidence.
Only implementations listed in the official Sigma conformance registry may claim official Sigma certification.
The registry entry controls the certified level, version, scope, supported SRIPs, status, and evidence reference.
Certification badges are permissioned marks.
Badge use is limited to the listed implementation, version, scope, level, and status. Badge use must stop if certification expires, is suspended, is revoked, or no longer matches the implementation.
Sigma Stratum may suspend or revoke certification for misleading claims, unsupported changes, evidence withdrawal, expired review, misuse of marks, material deviations, or failure to correct registry or public claim inaccuracies.
Certification may require renewal when SRS/SRIP versions change, implementation scope changes, evidence expires, deployment scope changes, or the registry status requires review.
Certification fees, if any, are defined by separate commercial terms.
Commercial terms may also govern enterprise review, badge use, support, renewal, registry maintenance, or white-label/managed deployment arrangements.
