The public SRS/SRIP standard is open for independent implementation, including commercial implementation.
No Sigma commercial runtime license is required solely because an independent implementation follows the public SRS/SRIP normative requirements.
The normative prose of the public SRS/SRIP specification layer is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) unless a specific document states otherwise.
Attribution, document identity, version/date references, and modification notices should be preserved when citing, redistributing, or implementing public specification materials.
Machine-readable artifacts, schemas, validators, conformance fixtures, SDKs, examples, and reference test materials may be released under Apache License 2.0 where explicitly marked.
Product assets, protected Sigma marks, official certification, managed deployment, white-label deployment, resale, and commercial use of CC BY-NC materials are governed separately.
Independent implementation is permitted. Official certification, endorsement, and Sigma mark use require separate approval.
No patent rights are granted unless explicitly stated in a separate public specification covenant, patent non-assertion commitment, or written agreement.
